Program Schedule

    • Follows a school-year calendar (September–May)

This schedule meets all requirements set by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families for 4K programming.

A fully funded 4K program at Willows designed to prepare your child for kindergarten through play, relationships, and hands-on learning. With a nurturing environment and flexible care options, we help children grow confident, capable, and ready to thrive.

Now Enrolling for Fall 2026

At Willows Christian Child Care Center, we are excited to introduce our Get Kids Ready 4K Program, a high-quality,  preschool experience designed to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

This program combines the structure of a 4K classroom with the warmth, flexibility, and relationships of a trusted child care environment giving families the best of both worlds.

What Makes Our Program Unique?

Our 4K program is offered within a licensed child care center and is aligned with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and DPI recommended play based curriculum, ensuring your child receives a strong educational foundation while still learning through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.

We focus on the whole child, supporting:

  • Social and emotional development
  • Early literacy and language skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Independence and confidence
  • Positive peer relationships

Experienced, Caring Educators

Our program is led by Ms. Jen, an experienced early childhood educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and multiple Wisconsin Registry credentials.

With a passion for helping children grow and succeed, Ms. Jen creates a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day.

Learning Through Play & Purpose

At Willows, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences. Our teaching approach includes:

  • DPI recommended Play-based curriculum
  • Small group learning opportunities
  • Engaging activities
  • Observation-based lesson planning
  • A balance of child-led and teacher-guided experiences

We also incorporate the Pyramid Model to support strong social-emotional development and positive behavior skills.

Donations to 501(c)(3) nonprofits are tax-deductible. This means that when you make a contribution to an organization that has been designated as a 501(c)(3) by the IRS and you have not received anything in return for your gift, you are eligible for a deduction when you file your taxes.

Get Kids Ready will be a new, free initiative for 4-year-olds in child care to get school readiness instruction at their child care provider. 

This new program will enhance school readiness instruction in participating child care providers, while state funding will make Get Kids Ready free for families. 

Child care providers participating in Get Kids Ready will:

Use a curriculum that meets the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards

Offer 437 hours of elementary school readiness instruction per year

Child care providers participating in Get Kids Ready will:

Have lead teachers with an associate or bachelor’s degree

Meet state expectations for child health, safety, and well-being
