At Willows Christian Child Care Center, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing, play-based learning environment where children can explore, discover, and grow. Our experienced and caring teachers create a supportive atmosphere that fosters independence, creativity, and a love for learning. We are proud to be a 5-star National Accreditation Commission (NAC) accredited center, integrating the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) developmentally appropriate practices, and the Wisconsin Pyramid Model social-emotional framework.

Experienced Teachers Who Care
Our 3K teachers are passionate about early childhood education and are committed to providing your child with an engaging and supportive environment. We believe in the power of play-based learning to encourage exploration and discovery.

Sensory, Math, and Science Experiences
Our classroom offers hands-on experiences that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Children engage with sensory tables (both wet and dry), math manipulatives, and science materials. These activities help prepare them for 4K by encouraging curiosity and developing foundational math and science skills.

Reading, Language, and Writing
We support early literacy development through storytelling, group discussions, letter and name recognition, and sensory writing activities. Our writing area is a popular space where children can practice pre-writing skills through fine motor exercises and alphabet games.

Promoting Confidence and Independence
Our teachers foster a sense of confidence by encouraging children to try new things in a safe and caring environment. We emphasize self-help skills, such as dressing for outdoor play, using the bathroom independently, and cleaning up after themselves.

Encouraging Creativity
Creativity thrives in our 3K classroom. Children engage in pretend play, music, and art using a variety of non-toxic materials like crayons, paint, and play-dough. Their creative expression emphasizes the process of learning rather than the final product.

Bible Integration
We believe in nurturing a child’s faith. Each day, we read and discuss Bible stories, sing Bible songs, and say prayers before meals. Our goal is to ensure every child leaves Willows knowing they are loved by God.

Pyramid Model Learning/Social Emotional
Since 2019, we have implemented the Wisconsin Pyramid Model to support social and emotional development. This evidence-based framework promotes positive relationships and helps children build

Why Is Early Childhood Education Important?

The time between birth and age 3 is a period of rapid brain development when billions of connections between individual neurons are established. Mechanisms and interventions to support that development must be available beginning at birth.

Early childhood experiences from birth to age 8 affect the development of the brain’s architecture, which provides the foundation for all future learning, behavior and health. A strong foundation helps children develop the skills they need to become well-functioning adults

A child’s early years can have lifelong physical, social, and emotional impacts. While positive experiences and environments can set up a young child on a stronger life-long path, traumatic experiences or environments during those formative years can have long-lasting, detrimental impact.

The experiences children have early in life play a crucial role in the development of the brain. Exposure to positive factors, especially stable and responsive relationships with parents and other adults, and safe and supportive environments promote positive development.
